The industry standard test procedure involves the casting and curing of cube samples which are sent to specialist labs for compression testing following 28 day curing time. Our instruments provide results within minutes for the compressive strength at key time periods (2, 7 & 28 days).
By the time strength test results are complete the concrete has already been poured and hardened into the construction project. If the samples do not meet the required specification, then the maximum load of the concrete structure is determined and depending upon the results the whole structure is redesigned, strengthened or replaced to redistribute loads which causes significant construction delays and losses throughout project.
