Qn. Can you tell independent sales reps about your expertise in the staffing and recruitment arena?
Chris: I have run my own recruitment business for around 20 years and have always been in charge of any IT developments intended to improve the efficiency of the business. Having developed our in-house systems over 20 years it was always my intention to write all this experience into a product that could be used by any recruiter. CandidateNet is that product.
Qn. Please tell independent reps about some of the work you have carried out to date
Chris: We are very new, but our first client was in the aviation industry. A recruitment consultants providing all sorts of ground staff to airports throughout the UK. The system has worked so well for them, they have bought shares in our company.
We are now on the verge of a deal with a large job-board, in the leisure sector, and they are considering selling our product on to their 8000 advertisers – as CandidateNet.co.uk will work as an alternative way of making connections between those applicants that register on the job board and their 8000 clients.
Qn. What made you consider wanting to work with independent sales agents?
Chris: I like to use the right people for the right job – and I am well aware that I am not a salesman. I am good at explaining the workings and benefits of CandidateNet.co.uk to interested parties, but need a sales team to identify these people for me. The idea of independent sales agents appeals to me as they have to genuinely believe in the products they are selling – as their income (like mine) depends directly upon their achievements.
Qn. Why would self-employed sales agents have an edge selling your products?
Chris: Every company needs to recruit – and CandidateNet.co.uk can be used by anyone recruiting. It is ideal for Job-Boards, Recruitment Consultants and HR departments – so any sales agent, with a connection to any company, has the potential to sell CandidateNet.co.uk to their existing contacts.
Qn. What makes your service unique, innovative and sets you apart from the competition?
Chris: We do not rely on the conventional ways of attempting to match jobs to job seekers. Both candidate and potential employer take a 10 minute, online interview, containing questions relating to the required “basic work-skills and aspirations” (the sort of skills that are necessary for ALL jobs across the entire spectrum).
This alone, improves the initial matching ability by a factor of up to 100,000. So, if there are 500,000 vacancies on the system, potential candidates will get to see the 5 jobs they have a good chance of getting, and not the other 499,995 for which they have no chance.
These selected jobs are then displayed together with any number of screening questions defined by the employer. Potential candidates can quickly dismiss unsuitable vacancies – then, after answering the screening questions, are invited to apply by the employer. Furthermore, as candidates are aware they have been “pre-selected”, they are much better motivated to write an appropriate, tailored CV, for the specific vacancy.
Qn. What are you plans for the future of CandidateNet?
Chris: We are particularly interested in targeting job-boards as CandidateNet.co.uk functions as an alternative way of sharing their pool of applicants with their advertisers – making it advantageous for their advertisers to have a CandidateNet.co.uk account too. In this way, one job-board client can lead to hundreds of other potential clients.
So we are keen to get more job-boards involved – but without losing focus on the Recruitment Consultants, HR departments and even organisations intended to help people into work.
Qn. Please describe the typical sales cycle and process to sales agents.
Chris: Further to the sales agent’s introduction, we would demo the product to interested parties. They would then be offered a free trial for one month, towards the end of which, we would expect the sales agent to follow up and arrange the sale. A client would pay monthly and the sales agent would be paid a monthly commission on all of the sales, from that client, for a period of two years.
Qn. How do you currently bring in new business or win contracts?
Chris: So far our main source of contacts has been via trade shows.
Qn. How can independent sales reps apply to work with you?
Chris: Independent sales reps can connect with us via our listing on CommissionCrowd. Please feel free to reach out and send us a message. We look forward to hearing from you: Revolutionary Recruitment System Add-on for HR, Recruitment Consultants and Job Boards
