Qn. Where did the inspiration for Data2Vault come from?
Having worked with Asigra since 2007, we have seen the devastating impact data loss has on organisations not using Asigra as a solution.
With the added benefit of Data Insurance to cover the permanent loss of critical data, we believe there is an emerging maturity model for data protection with critical data being valued and protected through a high indemnity, low premium insurance policy
Qn. Tell us a little about your expertise in the Data security arena
Key staff at Data2Vault have worked with Asigra and in the Data Protection market for 12 years, I first encountered Asigra in 2007 at an Internet Service Provider and have been delivering Managed Services using Asigra backup and recovery ever since
Qn. Can you tell us about some of the work you have carried out to date?
We have designed, built and supported Asigra services for telecoms companies and global systems integrators across the UK and International jurisdictions.
We have been successfully reselling Asigra services to a wide range of re-seller across the UK market and see reliable and proven backup services like Asigra as being robust protection against changing threats, like Ransomware
Qn. What’s your greatest client success story?
We have been working closely with one of our current clients, Corporate Risk Associates (CRA) since 2011, they work in critical infrastructure industries like Nuclear Energy to ensure the operating risks for power stations are within acceptable levels.
Over this period we have developed joint go to market plans so CRA now provide risk assessments to enterprise IT and Info-security projects.
Qn. What made you consider wanting to work with independent sales agents?
Many years ago I ran a software distribution company within a group of 12 businesses.
Across the various businesses they engaged the services of independent sales people on commission only terms, they were some of the most professional and efficient sales people I have ever worked with, and the time is right for us to engage independent sales people to help grow our business now.

Our experience, we respect the channel, which many of the service providers in our sector don’t, we understand that an economy of scale helps reduce costs and enables us to be competitive.
Qn. What are you plans for the future of Data2Vault?
To grow the business through a channel of pro-active resellers, to develop the Data Protection for Data Insurance market alongside Insurers and Brokers and protect organisations critical data assets so our customers can become even more successful.
Qn. What are your best selling services and why?
Asigra Secure Cloud Backup is at the core of what we do, adoption rates continue to grow, but we are confident that Data Protection for Data Insurance will have a profound impact on the market.
Qn. Have you received any recognition or awards for your products?
In previous Service Providers using Asigra yes, but at Data2Vault not yet, we have been focused on building our infrastructure, engaging key clients and developing the Data Protection for Data Insurance at this time.
Qn. Please describe the typical sales cycle and process to sales agents
Recruiting interested resellers typically takes 60-180 days depending on where the reseller is in their new services adoption cycle.
Qualified end user opportunities typically take 90 days to close, we have an efficient sales engagement and qualification model leading to a live proof of concept and an 80% success rate if the sales people follow the model.
Qn. How do you currently bring in new business or win contracts?
We work closely with our resellers to market to their client base and prospects, we also have relationships with vendors like Huawei (servers and storage) and Malwarebytes (anti-exploit and Ransomware solutions), we make introductions and prospect resellers with joint propositions.
