We are interested in partnering with independent software sales reps to focus on developing the market share of our most profitable tool using their network and/or experience.

This solution fits perfectly in-line with the following industries: . It allows companies to comply with health and safety laws, regulate procedures and manage projects within six core industrial practices: Environmental Management, Safety Management, Health Management, Product Safety, Risk Assessment & Analysis and Process Management. It is composed of 10 modules: Audits, Incidents, Permits & Isolation, Competence Management, Process Documentation, Maintenance Inspections, Day-to-Day Operations & Logs, REACH, Complaint Handling and Management of Change.

Our solutions are extremely adaptable to any customer needs and our in-house engineers are able to tailor the product/modules to any needs. What about the sales cycle?

The Sales Cycle is simple. Sales Agents will need to prospect for suitable companies – using their experience and/or network – who have a budget/project of interest.

It will be critical for the Sales Agent to meet that person face-to-face, present the product (and its advantages) and listen carefully to what the potential customer needs. Once the clients needs are identified, the Sales Agent should report back to us (in Belgium), our engineers will build a small demo with the needs communicated by the Sales Agent. Then it is up to Sales Agents to demonstrate the effectiveness of the tool and close the deal.

This cycle can last anywhere from 6-12 months. Therefore it is important to build a solid relationship which should carry on even after the end of a deal. It is important to have a follow up for opportunity purposes. For example, if a customer purchases two modules and is happy with the services it provides, there is a clear opportunity to sell more modules as our other products are a fully implemented cycle system for all core practices.

Do you provide training and support to independent reps that work with you?

Independent sales reps will always have the full support and personal dedication they need in order to be as successful as possible.

Although our self-employed sales partners will be responsible for generating their own leads, we are also happy to pass potential in-bound leads to the Sales Agent.

We will be using CommissionCrowd to maintain effective communication and manage our working relationships with our self-employed sales partners. We are also able to provide marketing and sales materials which will be hosted on our collaborative CommissionCrowd account. Our communication channel with the Sales Agents will always be open. We will also physically be present in case further support and/or negotiations are necessary.

We want to be as flexible and supportive as we can be, therefore we will keep our eyes (and ears) open to provide all the necessary support we can at all times.

We have generally noticed that it is best the Sales Agents work on and learn the info/material at their own pace. Of course the more learnt, the more comfortable they will be and the less support will they need to close a deal.

What Type Of Self-Employed Sales Agent Would Be Best Suited To Your Opportunity?

We are primarily looking for experienced software sales partners, localed in the greater Houston area (Harris County) with a network and/or experience in the chemical industry, oil and gas and utilities.

We will also consider sales partners in other regions, if we are convinced of the potential for our product solution in this region.

We are looking to partner with self-employed relational Sales Agents. We believe it is important to build long lasting, mutually beneficial relationships with our clients. Deciding on the purchase of high-end software solutions that are critical to the operation of a company can take time. Purchasing and implementing our solutions usually takes around 6 – 8 weeks however, the decision making process can take anywhere from 6 – 12 months.

Relational Sales Agents: Relational sales agents rely on their charisma and building strong personal relationships with their customers in order to close business. Usually very good at maintaining long-term client relationships and bringing in referral business, the relational sales agent can be a real asset to a company.

This type of sales agent will rarely be suited to products which have very short sales cycles and require a harder sell to close the business. Although in the case of a higher end solution like ours, the financial rewards can be substantial.

What Experience Does The Sales Agent Require?

We are primarily looking for experienced independent software sales partners with a network and/or experience in the chemical industry, oil and gas and utilities. Determination and hard work are also key. Of course, experience is a nice touch and having the ability to bring a network into play will be very beneficial.

However, we do not close our doors when it comes to less-experienced but highly motivated individuals. Our commission rate is excellent for a reason, because we want to attract talent and grow with our Sales Agents.

Tell us about the commission structure/payment terms.

Our average initial deal size in chemical industry is $50.000 to $100.000

Our average initial deal size in utilities is $150.000 to $500.000 dollar

A typical $50K project looks something like this:

In a perpetual license model: – $14K for services – $30K license fee (one-time perpetual license fee) – $6K yearly maintenance

The same deal in a yearly subscription model translates into: – $14K for services – +/- $15K yearly subscription fee (for the usage of the software, maintenance and helpdesk

Commission rate depends on the amount of effort we need to put into getting the deal

We will always fully support you, and do everything we can, together, to close an opportunity.

Scenario 1:

Typically, you will receive 5% on the license fee and first year maintenance (one time commission per project), or the yearly subscription (recurring yearly commission) if you bring the opportunity and there is a high involvement on our part to close the deal i.e. We assist in meetings, preparing demo’s and writing offers.

Scenario 2:

You will receive up to 30% on the license fee and first year maintenance (one time commission per project) or the yearly subscription (recurring yearly commission)if you bring us the purchase order and we only need to carry out the estimation of the services.

We have a modular solution, and 80% of our customers do make additional purchases after the initial implementation. Essentially our clients love us and we have strong, long lasting relations with all of our customers.
